Terms of use

My Tasco Car · Version 1 · Effective 18 October 2026

1. Introduction and definitions

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the rights and obligations of the user (“you” or the “User”) when using the My Tasco Car application (the “App”) and the connected-vehicle and vehicle rental services provided with it by Tasco Joint Stock Company (“Tasco” or the “Operator”).

Please read these Terms together with the Personal Data Protection Policy (the “Policy”) before creating an account or signing in. Ticking the consent box, or continuing to use the App after being notified, constitutes acceptance of the Terms and the Policy in their current version.

The Terms are based on the Civil Code No. 91/2015/QH13, the Law on Electronic Transactions No. 20/2023/QH15, the Law on Consumer Protection No. 19/2023/QH15, the Law on Personal Data Protection No. 91/2025/QH15 and the guiding regulations. Where these documents are amended, supplemented or replaced, the new provisions apply.

In these Terms, the following expressions have the meanings below:

  • Account: your account on the App, identified by a phone number;
  • Vehicle: a connected vehicle that you own, are authorised to use or rent, and that is linked to your Account;
  • Owner: the person recorded in the system as the owner or the manager of the Vehicle;
  • Digital key: a cryptographic key created and stored on your phone, used to sign Vehicle commands;
  • Temporary key: time-limited access to a Vehicle granted by the Owner to another person;
  • PIN: a 6-digit code set by you, used to confirm sensitive operations;
  • Command: a request sent to the Vehicle from the App or the voice assistant, for example locking or unlocking the doors, opening the trunk, turning on the climate control, or starting a charge;
  • Voice assistant: the feature that lets you give commands or ask for information in Vietnamese by voice within the App;
  • Rental service: the feature for browsing vehicles, booking, and picking up and returning a vehicle in the App;
  • Verification file: the information and document images you provide so that your eligibility to rent can be verified.

The Terms take effect on 18 October 2026.

2. Conditions of use and accounts

To use the App you must meet the following conditions:

  • you are at least 18 years old and have full civil legal capacity under the Civil Code;
  • you provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date;
  • you have a suitable mobile device and network connection; Vehicle-related features also depend on the vehicle model and service plan.

An Account is created with a phone number. You sign in with a password, or with a one-time code issued by a dealer or the Tasco call centre, or sent by text message when that service is enabled. Each Account is for one user; you must not transfer, rent out or lend your Account. To let others use a Vehicle, use a Temporary key or member access instead of sharing an Account.

Your rights over each Vehicle (Owner, member, guest) are granted by the Owner or by Tasco and may be revoked. Tasco records your acceptance of the Terms and the Policy, including the version, time and IP address, to evidence the acceptance when needed under the Law on Electronic Transactions.

3. Rights and obligations of the user

You may use the App within the scope of the Terms, receive support through Tasco contact channels, and exercise the personal data rights described in the Policy.

You must:

  • comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety No. 36/2024/QH15 and related rules; not operate the App on your phone while driving;
  • not use remote control while the Vehicle is moving, and send a command only after you can see the area around the Vehicle, especially for commands that move the Vehicle or open its doors or trunk;
  • keep your password, PIN, one-time codes and Digital key confidential and not let others use them; notify Tasco and disable the device in Settings if your phone is lost or you suspect a leak;
  • be responsible for all operations made from your Account, including those by people you have authorised or given a Temporary key;
  • not interfere without authorisation with the App, the Vehicle or Tasco systems, including reverse engineering, bypassing confirmation mechanisms, sending bulk automated commands or overloading the service;
  • not use the App to track the location or trips of another person without permission, or to infringe the lawful rights and interests of others.

4. Remote vehicle control and additional confirmation

The App lets you send Commands to the Vehicle through the Tasco control centre or through a connection close to the Vehicle. Available commands differ by vehicle model, Vehicle software version and your permissions.

Each Command is checked against a tiered policy before it is sent to the Vehicle:

  • comfort commands that can be reversed (climate control, charging, sending a destination) run after conditions are checked;
  • body commands (locking, opening doors or the trunk) require your confirmation and run only when the Vehicle is parked and online;
  • critical or hard-to-reverse commands (unlocking, sharing a key, summoning the vehicle, calling roadside assistance, software updates, changing the drive mode) require additional confirmation by PIN, password, biometrics or a press-and-hold action, depending on the command.

While the Vehicle is moving, the system refuses many Commands. Tasco does not guarantee that every command succeeds: the result depends on the Vehicle state, the quality of the connection and the safety conditions assessed by the Vehicle, which may refuse a command.

The system keeps an audit log of Commands (sender, time, result) for safety and investigation. This log is independent of whether you agree to share voice data for research.

For commands that move the Vehicle (for example summoning), you are responsible for watching the Vehicle, holding the button as instructed in the App, and stopping immediately if there is danger.

5. Digital key and key sharing

The Digital key is created on your phone and used to sign Commands; the private key is stored on the device. Protect your phone with a screen lock and do not let others use it.

Sharing access to a Vehicle follows these rules:

  • the Owner and authorised persons may grant member access or a time-limited Temporary key to others by a code or QR code;
  • the scope granted does not exceed the grantor’s own rights; granting long-term access requires additional verification by password;
  • the grantor is responsible for choosing the recipient, and the recipient must accept these Terms when using the App;
  • a Temporary key expires at the end of its period; the grantor may revoke access at any time in the App;
  • if your phone is lost, disable the device or revoke the matching Digital key as soon as possible.

6. Voice assistant

The Voice assistant lets you give commands and ask for information in Vietnamese. Speech recognition and command understanding run on your phone; audio is not sent to Tasco servers. On first use the App may download a speech recognition package and needs a network connection to do so.

Voice commands go through the same tiered policy and confirmation steps as commands made in the App. Recognition can be wrong, especially in noisy places; check the confirmation text before agreeing to a critical command, and comply with traffic law when using this feature.

Sharing voice data for research is optional, off by default and separate from your acceptance of these Terms. Accepting the Terms does not turn sharing on. Details are in the Policy.

7. Rental service

The Rental service lets you browse vehicles, book by the hour or by the day, and pick up and return a vehicle under the process set by Tasco. The rental relationship is also governed by the rental contract and the vehicle handover record between you and Tasco.

  • a booking is confirmed only after your Verification file (a valid identity document, a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle class, and a portrait photo) has been submitted and approved under the current rental policy; the minimum age and other conditions are shown in the App when you book;
  • you may use only your own documents and must ensure the information is accurate; Tasco may refuse or cancel a booking where the file is invalid or appears forged;
  • rental price, deposit, service fees, additional charges, and the cancellation and refund policy follow the tariff and policy shown at the time of booking and the rental contract;
  • read the rental contract and the handover record carefully before confirming; where these Terms differ from the rental contract on the rental relationship, the rental contract applies;
  • a Digital key or Temporary key issued for a rental is valid during the rental period and ends when the rental ends or when it is revoked;
  • you look after the vehicle, comply with traffic law, report any incident in the App promptly, and are liable as provided in the rental contract.

How Tasco handles the Verification file is described in the Policy, section “Identity verification data for vehicle rental”.

8. Content and intellectual property

The App, software, interface, trademarks, images, text and related materials belong to Tasco or its licensors. Tasco grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App, revocable under these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the App, except where the law permits.

For content you provide (for example a profile photo), you warrant that you have the right to use it and allow Tasco to use it as necessary to operate the service. Third-party and open-source software in the App is subject to its own licences; Tasco provides the licence list on request through the contact point below.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as available. It may be interrupted by maintenance, loss of network or signal, Vehicle faults, or incidents at third-party providers. The App does not replace the emergency telephone numbers required by law.

To the extent permitted by law, Tasco is not liable for damage arising from:

  • you or people you authorised breaching the Terms or the law;
  • loss or disclosure of your password, PIN, one-time code, Digital key or phone through your fault;
  • sending a command while the Vehicle is moving or while you cannot see the area around it, contrary to the instructions in the App;
  • a voice command that was misrecognised and that you confirmed;
  • force majeure events as defined by law.

These Terms do not exclude or limit Tasco’s liability where the law does not allow it, including consumer protection rules. Compensation for damage, if any, follows the law and the relevant contract.

10. Suspension and termination

Tasco may suspend or end your right to use the App if you breach the Terms, if there are signs of fraud or a threat to the security of the Vehicle and systems, at the request of a competent state authority, or when your rights to the Vehicle no longer exist. Tasco gives notice beforehand where possible, except where urgent security action is needed.

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your Account, open Settings, choose Delete account and confirm with your password; detailed instructions, including for when you can no longer use the App, are on the page “Delete account and data”. After deletion, access to Vehicles, Digital keys and Temporary keys tied to the Account ends; data is handled under the Policy. The provisions on intellectual property, limitation of liability and dispute resolution continue to apply after termination.

11. Changes to the terms

Tasco may amend the Terms. For changes of legal significance, Tasco raises the version number, notifies you in the App and asks you to accept again; until you do, the App does not let you continue, and you may sign out or delete your Account. Editorial changes that do not alter rights and obligations do not require new acceptance.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

The Terms are governed by the law of Vietnam. Disputes are resolved first by negotiation and mediation. Where negotiation fails, either party may bring the dispute before the competent court under Vietnamese law.

As a consumer you may complain to Tasco through the contact point below, and you may also use the other dispute resolution methods provided by the Law on Consumer Protection.
